Fixed an issue where the “return to map” accessibility element lacked a label. Always update the title and subtitle of an annotation accessibility element, in case the title or subtitle changes from one showing to the next.
Added a hint for annotations. Use declarative rather than imperative for hints.
Marked the map view and its annotations as adjustable so that swiping up and down with VoiceOver zooms out and in, respectively.
Added accessibility values to toolbar buttons in iosapp.
Via nfarina/calloutview#84, SMCalloutView is now accessible. Activating a focused annotation now shows its callout view and focuses its left accessory view, if present, or the title view. There is a “return to map” accessibility element for dismissing the callout view and restoring focus to the annotation on the map.
Assigned unique IDs to localizable English strings in code.
Made iosapp non-localizable. For the time being, it isn’t worth the trouble to localize more strings for this demo application than for the SDK itself.
Made storyboards and strings throughout the SDK and iosapp localizable. Replaced the compass image with an unlabeled image. Draw a localizable string atop it at runtime.
Redefined NSLocalizedString() and NSLocalizedStringFromTable() macros to look at the SDK bundle rather than the main application bundle. This redefinition has no effect on the host application, because it’s in an internal header. That header must be included in all files that contain localizable strings. See NSBundle+MGLAdditions.h for a full explanation.
Added a make rule that runs genstrings and ensures UTF-8 output (since genstrings insists on UTF-16).
Use MGLCoordinateFormatter in iosapp for dropped pin callouts. Rely on subclasses of MGLPointAnnotation instead of annotation titles to distinguish between different kinds of point annotations.
Added a degree-minute-second coordinate formatter for general use. Use this formatter in iosapp and osxapp.
Added unit tests for the coordinate formatter and for round-tripping geometry types through NSValue.
Fixed a race condition in which the access token alert controller would fail to present because the view controller hadn’t yet entered the view hierarchy, plus a downstream crash caused by the access token being missing.
MGLMapView observes changes to the coordinate property of each MGLAnnotation added to it. Changing the coordinate property in a KVO-compliant way causes the annotation to be relocated and its callout view, if present, to be dismissed. To avoid observing the same annotation twice yet also avoid expensive lookups when adding or removing annotations, MGLMapView indexes added point annotations in an NSMutableSet.
In iosapp, tapping a callout view moves the selected annotation to the center of the screen and deselects it.
Fixes#1980.
Added an API for deleting unused annotation images’ images. When you nil out the image of an MGLAnnotationImage, MGLMapView deletes the sprite from the style and recreates any annotation associated with the MGLAnnotationImage instance; the MGLAnnotationImage’s falls back to SDK’s default annotation image.
In iosapp, deselecting an annotation resets its image to the default; deselecting it again restores the image.
ref #3185
If no access token is found in user defaults at launch, iosapp prompts the user for an access token. Renamed the user defaults key for the access token to conform to Cocoa naming conventions.
Fixes#4696.
Use UIView animation to explicitly animate the user dot between user location updates. There is a tricky special case, which is that the callout must point to the annotation view’s implicit frame but must quickly rendezvous with the explicit frame.
Fixes#1041.
Now that #4641 has removed the prohibition against C99 extensions, this change removes many pragma statements that suppress warnings about variadic macros and designated initializers. Designated initializers and Elvis operators have been introduced wherever appropriate.
ios.xcodeproj is an ordinary Xcode project with ordinary Xcode targets for iosapp and ios-bench, all contained in an ordinary Xcode workspace that happens to also reference the gyp-generated platform.xcodeproj. The iosapp target links to and embeds Mapbox.framework, which is a product of the gyp-generated platform.xcodeproj. ios-tests.xcodeproj is also in the workspace, enabling simultaneous debugging of KIF tests, the SDK, and core code.
Moved storyboards into Base.lproj and image assets into an asset catalog. Removed iOS 6 assets from the iosapp asset catalog. Moved the original ios-bench application icon SVG into a non-project location.
Removed app/Settings.bundle, which is identical to framework/Settings.bundle.
Removed a broken reference to an unused header from the ios-tests project.
* Main gyp files are now standardized as platform/<platform>/platform.gyp.
* Each platform gyp file defines appropriate loop_lib and headless_lib variables.
* Each platform gyp file includes mbgl.gypi, which defines base targets which may be useful to all platforms.
* CI targets are consistent across platforms: `make $(PLATFORM) && make test-$(PLATFORM)`.
* Renamed the "linux" test app to "glfw". It's now built in OS X CI.
* Android build flakiness is fixed.
* iOS CI builds the bench and iosapp targets.
* Mesa version is now in one place.
* CI scripts use bash "strict mode" and correct error handling.
* All build output goes to the build directory.
* Removed vestigial iOS/OS X/Android Travis scripts.
Converted MBXViewController from Objective-C++ to Objective-C. In the process, the dependency on default_styles.hpp was replaced by a hardcoded list of style URLs along with runtime assertions that the list of styles is the right length.
Requesting progress is expensive, so it is once again computed only on demand, rather than automatically at launch. Moved progress requesting back to iosapp and osxapp.
Made MGLOfflineStorage.packs strong rather than copy so that KVO notifications on that key path include index paths. Replaced custom KVO mutable collection methods with calls to -mutableArrayValueForKey:, avoiding redundant casts.
Privatized MGLOfflinePackDelegate and made its methods required, since MGLOfflineStorage is the only conforming implementation. Require a pack to be explicitly invalidated before deallocation by its owner (MGLOfflineStorage). Added a method to reload the canonical collection of packs.
Previously, if the user adds an offline pack without specifying a name in the alert, the pack would be named “Untitled n” for the nth pack created since the application was launched. This logic could result in identically named packs (for example, if the user relaunches and creates another unnamed pack). Instead, use the visible coordinate bounds as a placeholder and fallback name.
Resume a pack upon successful addition. Removed an extraneous weakSelf/strongSelf dance. When possible, update individual labels in a cell instead of reloading the entire cell. That way, if the user swipes to the left to reveal the Delete accessory button while the pack is actively downloading, the accessory button remains on screen as progress updates come in.
MGLOfflineStorage now maintains a centralized, strongly held, KVO-compliant collection of all extant offline packs. MGLOfflineStorage issues notifications for progress updates. Client code can now react to the successful addition of an offline pack either via the completion block or via a KVO insertion.
Fixes#4287.
Also categorized offline symbols for jazzy and moved styleURL from MGLOfflineRegion to MGLTilePyramidOfflineRegion, since you never know if there will be a region type not constrained by a style in the future.
Tapping on a download now pauses or resumes it. Tapping on a completed download navigates to the downloaded region and switches to the downloaded style.
Renamed SDK classes related to offline viewing to more closely match the terminology used by mbgl and the Android SDK while remaining consistent with Cocoa naming principles.
